senior designer
Collateral for intimate events designed to galvanize leaders to large-scale gatherings of educators from all over the country, including signage, social media, and workshop materials. Digital and print.
The XQ institute is a non-profit part of the Emerson Collective, focusing on providing public high schools with the means to succeed and support its students. The XQ Institute provides a range of different resources, including workshops for individual schools or school district members, hosting a nationwide event for educators, and partnerships with several different artists such as BMike and Misty Copeland, and organizations to engage students in activities that will enrich their lives outside of school.
My role as a senior designer was to create materials for events and workshops, at first in print, and then as COVID changed the world, also in digital media. Our most ambitious project during my time at XQ was the 2020 Graduate Together experience; a national broadcast event that honored the high school graduates of 2020. The project required coordination between multiple vendors and partners across the country while also navigating how to work remotely for the first time.
